Alexis Chabala, Zambian born photographer who's lived in France, Belgium and now London, credits his exposure to diversity and culture from around the world as the reason why individuality can be seen in his work.

After studying both Fine Art and Photography in Brussels, Chabala moved to London as a Studio Assistant where he was quickly asked to produce his first editorial commission. Eventually the photographer started running his own studio and forged relationships with high end fashion brands including Tatler, Bulgari, Dolce & Gabbana, Jimmy Choo and Burberry. In addition, Chabala has shot portraits of notable talents including Mark Ronson, Cara Delevingne, Simon Callow, George Clinton, Laura Mvula, Anderson .Paak and Anthony Joshua. Now, Chabala is gearing up to stage his exhibition, The Influence Project, showcasing his photographic collaborations with many of his musical heroes, including Public Enemy’s Chuck D and The Roots, at Somerset House this July.
